Returns & cancellations

How to cancel an order and return a product.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Every product on this site is sold by the seller shown on the product page, and the seller handles cancellations and returns. We are here to make sure it happens properly.

Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel an online purchase within 14 days of the day you (or someone you name) receive the goods, without giving a reason. If your order arrives in several parcels, the 14 days start when you receive the last one.

How to cancel

The simplest way is our Withdraw from contract page: fill in your details and press “Confirm withdrawal”, and we email you an acknowledgement straight away. You can also use “My account” → “Returns & replacements”. You can also send us a clear statement by email to info@thekoshershop.co.uk with your order number, and we will pass it to the seller. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.

Send or hand back the goods to the seller without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling. You pay the direct cost of returning the goods only if the product page or the seller’s returns information told you so before you bought; otherwise the seller pays. Please return them in reasonable packaging; you only need to pay for any loss in value caused by handling the goods more than necessary to check them.

When you get your money back

The refund, including the standard delivery cost you paid, goes back to the payment method you used, within 14 days of the day we receive your cancellation. The seller may wait to refund until they receive the goods back or you show proof that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.

Products that can’t be returned

The right to cancel does not apply to, for example:

  • food and other goods that spoil quickly
  • items made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example with a name or dedication)
  • sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
  • sealed audio, video or software that you have unsealed

If such a product arrives faulty or different from its description, you are of course entitled to a solution.

Faulty or not as described

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you can reject them within 30 days for a full refund, and after that you are still entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

Contact the seller through “My account” within 14 days of delivery (within 48 hours for fresh or chilled food), ideally with a photo. This helps us resolve it quickly and does not shorten your legal rights. No reply within 3 working days? Contact us and we will take care of it.

Seller policies

Some sellers offer more generous return terms. If so, they appear on the seller’s shop page. Your legal rights always apply.

Full details are in our Terms of Use and Sale.
