Everything you need to sell on The Kosher Shop: products, photos, shipping, orders and payouts.
The "profile complete" box at the top shows what is still missing.
Every new seller gets a short review before selling. This keeps our customers' trust. Meanwhile you can finish your shop details and prepare products.
The review usually takes up to 2 working days. If it takes longer, email info@thekoshershop.co.uk.
thekoshershop.co.uk: customers in the United Kingdom, prices in pounds.
thekoshershop.eu: customers in the European Union, prices in euros.
thekoshershop.com: the USA and worldwide, prices in US dollars.
thekoshershop.co.il: customers in Israel, prices in shekels.
You chose your markets when you signed up. Want to add one? Email us and we will open your shop there too.
A new product is sent to us for approval before it appears on the site.
Usually up to 2 working days. We check that the name, photos, price and kashrut are clear. If something is missing, we tell you what to fix.
Editing an approved product may send it for review again.
Keep it short and clear. Do not copy descriptions from other sites.
Choose product type Variable product. Add an attribute (e.g. "Size") with its values (S, M, L), then create variations. Each variation can have its own price, stock, SKU and photo.
Food that is not kosher or has no clear kashrut, fake or copyright-infringing items, dangerous or illegal items, and items that do not fit the spirit of the site. The full list is in the seller terms.
Two ways: set stock to 0 (sold-out products are hidden from the shop), or set the status to draft. All the details stay for next time.
We tested these sizes on the shop page on desktop, iPad and phone.

Upload them in Settings → Store. After saving, open your shop page on your phone and check it looks right.
Each product has a stock quantity. It goes down by itself with every sale. At 0 the product is marked sold out and hidden from the shop. When 8 units or fewer are left, you get an email alert.
In Stock sync you connect stock and prices, updated every 15 minutes. You can connect:
Products are matched by SKU or barcode, so keep them the same on both sides.
Headers in the first row, one product per row:
sku, stock, priceBR-500, 24, 18.90
You can use "barcode" instead of SKU. In Stock sync there is a button to download a ready file with all your products.
Safety stock: units you keep for your physical shop. Set 2, and if your system has 10, the site shows 8.
Big price change: if a price changes by more than 30%, we hold it until you approve. This protects you from typos.
The shipping fee the customer pays goes to you in full. There is no commission on it.
In Settings → Delivery time set how many days you need to prepare an order, which days and hours you deliver, and whether you offer store pickup. The customer picks a date and time at checkout.
Close orders before Shabbat and holidays, and update ahead of the chagim.
On the order page add shipment tracking: carrier, tracking number and status (processing, ready for pickup, on the way, delivered). The customer gets an email update.
If you ship abroad, check what the destination country allows (food rules differ), and write clearly in the product what can ship where. Customs and import duties are usually paid by the customer. Say so in your shop policy.
Only completed orders count toward the balance you can withdraw.
Contact the customer right away (details are in the order) and offer a replacement or cancellation. If you cancel, email us and we refund the customer. To avoid this, keep stock up to date or connect it in Stock sync.
Customers pay on the site by card through Stripe, a regulated payment provider. Your shop is connected to Stripe (Stripe Connect). Once an order is completed, your amount after the commission, the fee per order and the payment processing fee becomes available after 7 days, and Stripe pays it straight to your own bank account. There is no payout fee.
For each order you pay three things:
There is no sign-up fee, no monthly fee, no listing fee and no payout fee. Paid promotion is optional.
Example: an order with £100 in products and £15 shipping. You pay £12.50 commission and £1.25 for the order, plus the processing fee for the £115 payment. The exact processing fee depends on the card and is shown on the order.
Launch rate: open your shop by 31 December 2026 and pay 6.2% commission instead of 12.5% for your first 3 months (£6.20 in the example above). The fee per order and the processing fee still apply. After that the rate goes back to 12.5% automatically, and we email you.
On a refund to the customer, the commission, the fee per order and the payment processing fee are not returned (Stripe keeps its fee), unless the error was ours.
You can always see your commission, the fees on each order and when your launch rate ends, in your dashboard under Money & invoices. The full terms are in Schedule 1 of the Seller Agreement.
We approve and send a bank transfer. Bank details must be in the name of the shop owner or business.
You are the seller, so you give the customer a receipt or invoice as your local law requires, and you handle your own sales tax. For tax questions, check with your accountant.
In Settings → RMA (returns & warranty) you set your own returns and warranty policy. It is shown to customers on the product page. It must follow the law and the site terms.
Full details are in our returns policy. This is not legal advice.
Handle damaged or wrong items quickly. It builds trust.
For food you make yourself (bakery, catering, deli), you need a valid kosher certificate. We may ask for it before approving products. When it is renewed, send us the new one.
For packaged products, the kosher symbol on the pack is enough.
In Coupons create a discount code (percent or amount) for your products. Set dates, a minimum order and a usage limit. Share the code on social media or with your customers.
In Reports you see sales by day, week and month, your best sellers and your stock. Check weekly what works, and restock before you run out.
